BitcoinTrench is an independent Bitcoin intelligence platform. It exists to answer a narrow question well: what is actually happening beneath Bitcoin’s price?
Price is the most visible Bitcoin number and the least explanatory. The things that determine what Bitcoin is — how much work secures it, how contested its blockspace is, how quickly new supply arrives, how the fee market will eventually replace the subsidy — move on their own schedules and are rarely presented together. BitcoinTrench puts them in one place, with enough context to read each one properly.
Principles
What the platform commits to.
Bitcoin only
BitcoinTrench covers Bitcoin. Other assets appear only where they genuinely explain something about Bitcoin — dominance, for instance — and never as dashboards of their own. Depth in one subject beats breadth across fifty.
No invented numbers
If a source fails, BitcoinTrench serves the last good value with its age attached, or says the metric is unavailable. It never substitutes a placeholder, a sample figure or a plausible-looking approximation. A visible gap is more useful than an invisible fabrication.
Methodology in public
Every figure BitcoinTrench calculates itself ships with its formula, inputs, assumptions and limitations. The methodology page is not an appendix — it is the product.
Open to everyone
No account, no login, no subscription, no paywall, no members-only analytics. Preferences such as reduced motion are stored in your own browser. There is nothing to sign up for because there is nothing being withheld.
Public data, respectfully used
Everything runs on free public APIs and publisher feeds, within their terms and rate limits, with attribution shown where it is asked for. BitcoinTrench does not scrape restricted services or reproduce proprietary datasets.
Analysis, not advice
BitcoinTrench publishes no buy or sell signals and no price targets. Its indicators describe current network conditions and say so explicitly. See the disclaimer.
Privacy
What BitcoinTrench collects.
Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, no tracking cookies, no advertising pixels and no behavioural analytics. Your display preferences live in your browser’s local storage and never leave it. Anything you type into the tools is calculated locally and is never transmitted.
Your browser does connect directly to public exchange APIs for live price and order books, because both are useless when cached. Those requests reveal your IP address to those exchanges, exactly as visiting their own sites would. Everything else is proxied through BitcoinTrench.
